Charley Davidson is a private investigator with a difference, she just happens to be the grim reaper as well. This gives her an edge over the competition and means she frequently assists her uncle on his police cases. She's been helping the departed cross over since she was five so a dead lawyer showing up in her bedroom is annoyingly routine. Until Charley realises he and the firm's other two senior partners were all killed in the same day and suddenly she's working on the biggest case of the y ...more

Meet Charley Davidson, if you love movies like Ghost Whisperer -then this is the series for you and Charley is the gal for you. Charley is what is known as a Grim Reaper , her job is to cross over those souls that have been earth bound . Quick , fun read. I liked the characters and I liked Charley's "occupation". I've passed on this book several times now, because I thought I didn't want to read about a reaper, actually The Grim Reaper, to be exact. I usually shy away from books where a main part of the plot involves dead people.

However, this worked, and I'm on to the next.

Going with the full five, because of my irritation level that I don't have the others right now. (I have book four and not two and three from the library because of the way the holds arrived.)

There was a moment at the beginning that I found it a little repetitive? But that quickly went away.

Loved the world building and that there is still so much left to learn (*fist shake again over still not having the books*), didn't see a couple things coming, and camman Reyes is hot.
