What Members Thought
I picked up this book on a whim. I spotted a tattered, abused copy in the half off bin at my local bookstore. I am a fan of light and easy reads. This book takes the cake -- it is a fantastic summer read! The narration of the main character, Rachel, keeps you entertained in what could easily be translated into a Lifetime movie plot. I loved this book! It is probably the best chick-lit type of book that I've read to date. How easy is it to write a book that makes one love Rachel and support her love of Dex, who is the fiance of her best friend, Darcy?
Thanks to the Goodreads firstreads program, I've found a new author, and I will have to read Something Blue, the follow up to Something Borrowed.

I knew what I was getting into when I picked this up, so my expectations were fairly low. As far as chick-lit goes, it's written fairly well and has an interesting enough plot to keep me reading. Also, it's easy to read quickly. My low rating though is for the number of times I rolled my eyes at the thoughts of the main character. Dearest Rachel, find a spine; yours seems to be missing.
