I loved this book! It is probably the best chick-lit type of book that I've read to date. How easy is it to write a book that makes one love Rachel and support her love of Dex, who is the fiance of her best friend, Darcy?
Thanks to the Goodreads firstreads program, I've found a new author, and I will have to read Something Blue, the follow up to Something Borrowed.

This was a good brain break, but the book is not a laugh out loud one as I was hoping. The story is a bit predictable, but readers do feel like they know the two main characters a bit. The stereotype of the selfish friend getting paid back by the selfless one is there, and partly it reminded me of the recent movie Bride Wars. Apparently this is a series. I picked up #2 and read the back cover before finishing #1. Do not do that. It completely gives the ending away - COMPLETELY. Oh well.
Love triangle, was not blown away.
I knew what I was getting into when I picked this up, so my expectations were fairly low. As far as chick-lit goes, it's written fairly well and has an interesting enough plot to keep me reading. Also, it's easy to read quickly. My low rating though is for the number of times I rolled my eyes at the thoughts of the main character. Dearest Rachel, find a spine; yours seems to be missing.
