I had this book on my bedside table for weeks and the entire premise of 'cheating' on your best friend put me off. I'd won the book here at goodreads & it wasn't one I'd normally purchase for myself. I didn't really want to even read it since the entire idea behind it was 'icky' to me. However, I ran out of other things to read & decided to give it a shot. And, I was pleasantly surprised. It was a really good book, overall. I liked Rachel immediately and I really like the way that the cheating w ...more

I didn't realize this was a movie (that I had seen) until I started reading it. Other than melding two characters together, the book and movie are very similar.

This is a tricky book to rate. I liked the author's writing style but didn't like any of the main characters. Darcy is spoiled and selfish. Both Rachel and Dex are spineless and whimpy. Giffin acts like they've redeemed themselves because they finally make stronger choices. But all that cheating.... I just can't do it.

What happens when your best friend is getting married and you're her maid of honor but you realize that you have always had feelings for her fiance?

This is not your typical chick lit book. It dealt with a serious issue and Rachel was really torn between what to do. The more I read the book, the more Darcy came off as a spoiled, selfish brat who always got

When I first began this book, I imagines a draggest out predictable romance. Although predictable, it didn't drag as expected. I actually enjoyed it and look forward to reading Giffin's "Something Blue." ...more

Parts of this story were really good! But I think my problem was that I watched the movie first so many times and have loved the movie, and was expecting an even better book. I loved that I felt that more of Darcy's past with her is explained. That helped a little bit. I wish there would've been more of Ethan than a few chapters and a phone call mentioned in others. Overall another good story from Griffin and I am willing to read more. ...more
