Reread for book club. I really needed this book it seems to remind myself that thinking what if is not that helpful nor does it make the present any better.
I think the ending was somewhat abrupt and overall the book is extremely predictable, but that's not a really bad thing.

I felt like this novel started out very promising. The premise caught my interest, and the novel jumped right into the plot. I couldn’t stop reading the first few chapters! But then it started to slow down and drag a bit, and then it started to get even more slow and repetitive. I was putting the book down for longer and longer periods of time. While some parts were slow and some a bit hokey, I really liked the concept of the book and the lessons it taught. I do not, however, think it’s an accurate depiction of depression.
“...a prison isn’t a place; it’s a perspective” is a unique perspective on life, and any story that uses a library or bookstore as a setting always calms me. Libraries are like old friends. I can sit and visit or explore new places.
