"I think it is easy to imagine there are easier paths," she said, realising something for the first time. "But maybe there are no easy paths. There are just paths."

With a fun cover like this and an interesting title, my book group that meets via Facetime, decided this would be our next read. We thought it would be good to read for December. Yikes, it's a bit rough to start. It's a sad story about a woman that has lost her way in her own life. So wrapped up in her regrets, she is just drowning in

Like most people, Nora Seed has regrets. She regrets giving up swimming because of the strain it placed on her relationship with her dad. She regrets calling off her wedding to Dan and working with him to start a country pub. She regrets quitting a band with her brother just as they were on the cusp of success due to crippling social anxiety.

After being laid off from her dead-end job in a music store, Nora decides that her life is no longer worth living. She sets about ending things, only to fin

An interesting concept & very easy reading, even though Nora is a dreary, oh-woe-is-me piece of work. Yeah, yeah, depression & all, but I couldn't care much for her despite being interested in the story.

Nora Seed decides to kill herself, but instead of oblivion, she finds herself inside The Midnight Library, where each book she pulls from the shelf is a life she could have lived. Nora can't leave until she finds the right life, and the library seems to have no beginning or end. As Nora tries on each new life, she gets to right old wrongs and walks the paths she never traveled. The beginning of this book felt very "Oprah" to me, like a book written for wealthy white women searching for a
