What a read this was. I see why it is being talked about in all sorts of book groups.
I love this topic and being able to read a well written book on it in a fiction sense was so captivating and enjoyable.
The protagonist, Nora, I think is a lot like many people. Living a life but having regrets about what could've been. Nora Seed decides to kill herself, but instead of oblivion, she finds herself inside The Midnight Library, where each book she pulls from the shelf is a life she could have lived. Nora can't leave until she finds the right life, and the library seems to have no beginning or end. As Nora tries on each new life, she gets to right old wrongs and walks the paths she never traveled. The beginning of this book felt very "Oprah" to me, like a book written for wealthy white women searching for a ...more
