What Members Thought
This was a strong story, but it wasn't necessarily powerful. I don't know if it's because I went into this with such high hopes or maybe I'm over reading stories about white cops racially profiling Black teens in America. I guess I was just a bit underwhelmed with this one. Idkkkk, but I would still recommend this to people and I plan on reading Dear Justyce!

This book lets us inside the head of black teen in US and shows us his struggle with how to react to the racism in his surroundings, ranging from armed and dangerous cops to clueless white classmates who think it's fun to dress as Ku Klux Klan for Halloween. It's well written, but a bit preachy. It's almost like the author had a list of possible racist encounters that the mc should meet and digest, and it all comes together a little too well.
