What Members Thought
I want more.
Picked this one up and put it down several times. Finally powered through it on the recommendation of several friends. I enjoyed Mexican Gothic immensely, so thought this would be right up my alley. The protagonist in this story is much more juvenile, and the writing and dialogue feels a bit stilted. In the end I'm glad I stuck with it through the tedious passages, the ending scenes of the story were lovely.

I didn't know much about Mayan mythology, so that was interesting to me. But ultimately I found the characters a bit flat, though the heroine had some depth. A fun read, but nothing amazing.

I really enjoyed this book, the myths, gods, quests and magic. It was different and unfolded at a nice, steady pace. I read it in one sitting.
