I think this is a story that will stick around for me and one that I still need to process. We have a school full of girls and a "pandemic" type outbreak that happened a while ago. They received shipments of very little food and first aid things in supplies from the CDC via their dock on the island. They are quarantined.
The girls are suffering from different ailments. Many of them have fevers and rough limbs, blood dripping ...more

I'll admit that the cover was what made me want to read the book the most. The synopsis sounded very interesting also. But once I started reading it I knew that I wasn't going to care much for it.
The first thing I noticed was the writing style. For me, it felt very choppy. It seemed to get better by the end. It felt like I was reading broken up thoughts that were just made into sentences. It took me awhile to get used to it and then by the end it did feel like it flowed a little better ...more
