Well, this was damn cute. I admit, I watched the Netflix movie when it first came out but this is the first time that I have picked up the book. I am glad that I did.

Reasons why I loved this:
- A well-orchestrated fake dating trope.
- Childhood friends to fake dating to lovers!
- My husband's mom is from Korea and his father is white so I felt an immediate kinship with this amazing family. Even if those demographics don't fit your life, the author really brings these characters to life ...more

You ever pick a book up you think you will probably not like or will be bored with, well that was me with this book except the book was NOT boring and I LOVED this book so much. I can't believe how much I loved this book and how much I came to love each one of the characters in this book. I really can't wait to read book 2 and I am even happier that she made this into a trilogy and not just a duology. Some of these contemporary books are blowing me away these days. ...more

I really enjoyed this book. Lara Jean was pretty likable, and while I expected the story would ultimately be pretty predictable, I did find myself torn at times between a realistic belief that she would wind up with Josh, and one that she would wind up with Peter. I liked the personalities of all of the characters; they felt realistic.

Cute, fluffy contemporary. I was prepared to have Luke warm feelings about this, but it was surprisingly enjoyable. Excited for the next in the series. This is so unlike me.
