This was way better than I expected. There were a few frustrating moments and the Kitty character was barely tolerable but despite that I loved it.

Lara Jane is a good girl, she's never had a boyfriend but she's been in love 5 times. Each of the 5 she has written a letter to, letters that express her deepest emotions and thoughts, words that she would never dare speak aloud let alone to the guys she loved at each point in time that it was that guy she was in love with. They were never to know how she felt, until one day they do. What is she going to do, especially when of the boys is her older sisters ex.

This book is well known since 2014 when the hype was then I didn't feel like reading the book, but when the Netflix movie came out, I wanted to watch the film. So I had to pick up the book without the movie cover.
I felt like reading a fluffy and rom-com book. That was the best pick.
I liked the friendship and family relationships of the Song-Covey girls (depends if you read the book or watch the movie). The diversity and own voices are interesting and done very well.

Light story about a pretend romance and an imaginary love triangle. Teens might like the comic elements of this modern Cinderella story, but I didn't like most of the drama.

I've previously only read a short story by Jenny Han from the book My True Love Gave to Me. I really enjoyed this book, and Han's writing. It's full of sweetness, teen angst, learning to venture out into the world, and the bonds of sisters. Looking forward to reading the next book. ...more
