Not what I was expecting at all. Was hoping for more thriller more mystery. It was like I could have read the first 50 pages than the last 75 pages then that's it. The child Finder Naomi out looking for a missing girl Madison that been missing for 3 years. Readers get to get different points of view from different characters and about past and present. It was just okay. Some parts of the story I found myself scanning over. 2.5-3 Stars. Not thrilling to me. ...more

“No matter how far you have run, no matter how long you have been lost, it is never too late to be found.”

This is a wonderful and horrible and sad story. And it completely had me sucked in from the first chapter. Naomi is a private investigator with special skills. She can find missing children. It seems to tap into her own trauma - one that she can't fully remember. She's pulled into a case for the Culvers - of their their daughter missing 3 years now - who would be celebrating her 8th birthday

I was first attracted to this book by the cover and the title. I recognized the author's name as I have another of her novels on my TBR - and after reading this one, I will definitely move it up the list!
One of my main requirements for a great book is that it must have a major character that I like and connect with. Naomi fit that description! She had some trauma in her past (we get short snippets of information about that throughout the book) that have lead her to become an investigator who spe
