I have struggled so much with this review because this book is simply amazing. I'm not sure any words that I can put together will do it justice. Rene Denfeld's work just seeps into my soul and I am amazed at how she is able to write about such darkness and heaviness and yet make it so beautiful and compelling. I tend to like darkness in my novels so if that's not your thing, this may not work as well for you. But, I hope you'll give it a shot. It's well crafted, beautifully written and touched ...more

"The Child Finder" is a book I borrowed from my library before the public library of my city is close due to the limitations of the COVID-19 epidemic.
Also, I picked up the book because of the author, I have heard about her first book through BookTube.
I had some trouble with the way the writing of the chapters have more than one perspective, and I was a little bit mixed up until from which angle I read.

This was a well told story that is emotionally draining with some very tough topics. If you need content warnings, but sure to look them up for this story.
