Continually surprising, in delightful ways. This book belongs to a select group of speculative fiction near to my heart that unseated and astonished me by being like nothing else I'd read before. Little, Big comes to mind first of all; The Tooth Fairy hugs it from the other side. If we had the science to do... ANYthing, and the magic to do ANYthing... well we'd still be limited by our human nature, wouldn't we? Or should that be saved by our human nature? damned? empowered? blessed? screwed? Yes

This started out so weird that I wasn't sure if this was the right book for me. I'm glad I stuck it out because after part one, the story became much more linear and easy for me to understand. I am a fan!

Very well-written and well-thought out fantasy/science fiction blend. I'm not sure why I didn't like it more - it just wasn't my cup of tea, I guess.
