I've really enjoyed the books I've read by Becky Albertalli and I am looking forward to reading her newest one coming out this year, Leah on the Off Beat. It was based off one of Simon's best friend in this book and she is a badass character we all got to know and love.

Simon, Nick and Leah have been best friends for along time and they share so many things except Simon is holding back a huge secret and that's that he is gay. It's not that they won't except him it's that he just doesn't want it t

I actually loved this story. I was so emotional on so many levels.
Simon went through so much from being blackmail to trying to come out as being gay on his own terms. So turning to a boy name Blue online was his way in talking about being gay to this gay that's gay and in the closet too.
They connect with a bond with one another.

Loved his friends and family. They all were so supportive.

I couldn't put this book down I just wanted to know who Blue was so I kept reading and reading until I was done

4/5 Stars. Very quick, light read. Recommended if you like: sweet high school romance.

I've read this book twice. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit more the second time around, which is unusual for me. During the first read I rushed through, desperate to find out what would happen next. The second time was more enjoyable because I already knew the big surprise/identity reveal, and so I was able to slow down and savor watching this cute little romance unfold. .

This was a cute book. I think the writing may have been too cutesy, which kept me from really loving it. I'm interested in seeing how they spin the movie. ...more

I really loved this. I guessed Blue's identity but that didn't dampen my enjoyment of the book. It's a feel good story and I felt good reading it. So as far as I'm concerned it achieved what it set out to do. ...more
