This book was my least favorite of the series mainly because I felt it was just too long.

The quote, "don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened" came to mind while reading this book because though saying good-bye to this series and its characters made me sad, I am so glad that I read this series. This was a truly stellar ending and I loved how everything ended up playing out and the fact that everyone got their happily ever after. But that happily ever after wasn't without a few tense moments and Meyer definitely made her characters work very hard for it and that just ma

Great end of a great series, but it is quite long, though a quick 800 page read. All the loose ends were tied up as far as I could remember, but battle was gruesome. I'm not a huge fan of retellings, but Ms. Meyer does an excellent job, and this story was an action-packed delight.
Likes:
* Lots of romance
* Cinder/Selene and Kai
* Scarlet and Wolf
* Cress and Capt. Carson Thorne
* Winter and Jacin
* Friendship and loyalty

I've read a lot of fairy tale retellings. There are some rewrites of Snow White that I've come across but not nearly as many as there are of Cinderella. Most of them are just meh. This one is fabulous. I've re-read it every year since I first read it in 2014. The entire Lunar Chronicles series is A-mazing.

This was a glorious first close to this sweeping story. (1st close, because we still have the novella with it's 5 new piece coming in the spring.)
I teared up (for the people of Luna at a point, rather than at anything a main character went through) and laughed a lot (at everyone, when I should of course). I made faces and gasped. I loved it, unabashedly, with a lot of thoughts about a lot of people. I love how the pieces of the fairytales kept being woven in. I love the politics. I love the deci ...more

Fantastic narration. Great story.

So good. I love this series and I love when each book gets better and better. It takes skill to write about so many different characters while keeping the reader captivated and Marissa Meyer is as skilled as a ninja in the dead of night. She had my anxiety sky-rocket, my heart flutter, my palms sweat and still I couldn't get enough. Even when I put the book down to breathe and let my heart palpitations settle, I was right back to reading within minutes, wanting and needing to know what was happe

I really enjoyed this series and loved the elements of the original fairy tales that were incorporated into this new world.
