Shelves: fiction, post-apocalyptic-dystopic-utopia, audiobook

~~I turned off my phone's wifi so I could finish it without it getting returned.~~

Don't give me that look.

There was a lot to like about this one, and I can see where some of the hype is coming from. I think that I read too much post-apocalyptic fiction, because I had a lot of a...been there/read that/watched that vibe. There were some things that were unique to this, but it's also territory that has been explored.

This book gave a haunting realistic view of a pandemic event around the world. No govt., no law, no electricity, and no modern day conveniences. I am not sure why but the media keeps enforcing the end of the world plots with plagues, zombies, etc. I am getting burned out on this theme and will be more selective on my next read. The book was well written but the theme is starting to become to common.
