Again, I can't give this more than 4 stars because of the fact check fail. Which is a bummer, because the story wasn't bad. I will say that in a lot of ways, this book reminded me of the City of Ember. Only more grown up. And I didn't like the characters quite as much.

GREAT FEMALE CHARACTERS.
p75: Perhaps because I just finished reading it, this reminds me of THE GIVER. This silo is ENORMOUS. Where can I find a map?

Wow! I'm so glad I read this. I came to it a Doubting Thomas, but am leaving a believer in Indie fiction. What a tense read. The concept of a dystopian future is certainly not original, but the story and characters were incredible. Recommend to Scifi lovers!
