Ugh. Pretentious drivel, written in a very annoying style, smothered in purple prose, filled with empty, vapid characters with no personality and a nickname that was never explained. The only reason I continued to read this is because I needed an E author for a challenge.

When I started the book, I wasn't sure it was "my type" of genre. Upper echelon family with lots of money and personal islands, but it turns out what was going on was less then idyllic. The author uses great descriptive details and brings the reader into the Sinclair family and their complex relationship with the truth and dealing with grief. By the end of it, I was so sad for them all... a great read.
