What Members Thought

This is the best series ever. I read these books in fifth grade after I saw the movies. Back then the movies were so intense. This has been a favorite of mine since then. I read the books three times total, and I'm going to read them again. The books are so much better than the movies. The more I see the movies, the more I see the mistakes they made. I always wanted to sit down and read this book, but I struggled to make time for it until I bought a copy and left it next to my bed and I slowly made my way through it, some parts made me laugh some made me cry but ultimately it was worth making the time for this book and I'm glad I can say I have read it.

I can't believe I avoided this book for so long. The way Tolkien developed the characters and history of middle earth kept me turning the pages. Lots to think about with the religious symbolism weaved in throughout the story. Enjoyed reading the appendices and studying the maps and Frodo's family tree.
