I totally needed my Josh Lanyon fix. It's been some time since I last picked up a book by him, and he didn't disappoint. As always.
Especially after a seemingly endless series of mediocre books (or, to be fair, fairly good ones but with a plot I'm currently not in the mood reading about).

This really was not a mystery. We knew "who did it". It was a story of the MC trying to prove that he was being set up.
One of the pleasures of reading a Josh Lanyon story is the characters he creates. I liked these characters, but I did not feel them as much as I usually do his characters. A very good quick read! Typical Josh Lanyon. Great MC, humor and fast paced

Peter Killian, a museum curator, wakes up in hospital with the police wanting to talk to him about a theft from the museum - except Peter has amnesia.
Beautiful writing and character developement. I liked Griffin, the detective who first interviews Peter. It took me longer to like Peter - I found he became more sympathetic as the story progressed.
Enjoyable mystery with a nice romance.

I think it's an interesting idea to explore, what would you think of your life if you don't remember key elements of your life. Peter has amnesia and he's quite confused and it's not helping that he is accused of stealing from the museum where he works at. He starts piecing things together. What I liked was that he was puzzled by his own actions. He looks at his clothes and wonders. He sort of got a fresh breath to see his life with a new perspective.
