The sequel disappointed, but still love this.

An old rambling house, eccentric characters, a disappearing body and a slow romance - I'm happy.
A good old-fashioned gothic-styled cosy, nodding to too many well loved authors to name.

Coming home after the first date of hell isn't great, but finding a dead man in your bathtub afterwards isn't much better. Having made such a ghastly experience it's nice that the macho guy next door offers help; quite reluctantly though, but nevertheless, a nice start of a brief romance and a great help while finding out what actually happened in the house because the police aren't offering much help.

4.5 stars, Wow did I love Perry! Everytime I think I'm witty enough to figure out a Josh Lanyon mystery...I am as far away from the truth as possible :) Which I guess is half the fun! As always, Josh Lanyon's mysteries are a great read, they keep you guessing and the romance in this one was very understated but sweet, loved the end!
