What I said before. I enjoyed Adrien and the mystery. Not a big fan of Jake but the energy is there between them.

Re-read - it's been some time but I still like this book. Adrien is an appealing character, intelligent and likeable. The love interest is a bare meeting in this first book lots of complications giving both a palatable appeal though plenty of reason to stay away.

There are characters you fall for from the beginning, as well as there are characters you dislike at first sight. Adrien English is one of those characters I couldn’t avoid loving from the first time he turns up. I don’t know why. Maybe it is because he seems shy and sweet, maybe it is because of his cripple heart condition (both physical and emotional). I just like him.
