It’s a very special statue,’ I said.
Only it wasn't really, at least not in and of itself. It depicted the ever-popular ‘Venus-Aphrodite surprised by a sculptor and struggling to cover her tits with one hand and keep her drape at waist height with the other’ so beloved of art connoisseurs in the long weary days before the invention of internet porn.

Listening to Kobna Holdbrook-Smith narrating, I don't feel as much as following the story as it develops but more seeing everything in front of my eyes the moment I hear it. I couldn't even say if I would read the whole story without skipping. The narration, though, is just... stunning.

The narrator for the audio books is just brilliant and makes them come alive. The blurb for this book isn't accurate which made me a bit disappointed in the book since the American FBI agent does not really have that big of a role. That being said, this book is very good.

A good addition to the series, and hints of more to come. Good to see Lesley as part of the team at the Folly in this book too.
