Series reread September 2015. Even more enjoyable the second time around. Strangely this time I was less enamored with Leslie and appreciated Beverly more. Book 6 is being released in England in November 2015 and in the US in April 2016 for some weird reason so I've actually preordered the hardcover version from the UK. Seeing as it's the first time since I bought my first kindle years ago that I've been tempted to purchase a paper book I've upped my rating to 5 stars. This is an incredible seri ...more

I love this series. The audiobooks are superb and have really brought the series to life. I think this book is my favourite so far and I am looking forward to listening to the next one.

I really liked the fact that we had more Beverley and less Lesley in this story because when that happens you know that there is also going to be more magic and there was.

This continues to be an incredibly creative and enjoyable series.

Excellent!

I loved this book! With the exception of the first one, this is my favorite of the series. I was surprised since Leslie didn't feature in it but it really was a fun story. I listened to it and read parts and I will add that Kobna Holdbrook is simply amazing and literally becomes Peter. I can't recommend this series enough, especially the audio.

More of a side novel in the series as, although it takes place after the last story, doesn't really advance the plot with Lesley all that much. Peter solves a case out of the London, and of course magic is involved. Enjoyable, with some great side characters I'd love to see more of. ...more

Woooot! It's here! I thought I had to wait until January.

Story 4*. Maybe on a reread I will bump it up, but I couldn't concentrate enough on the plot to get everything. I loved the humorous police procedural asides and I love Kobna, 5* for narration.

I listened to the audio book and as usual the narration was spot on, I just didn't love this one as much as the previous books, but still very good. ...more
