Book 2 in the Peter Grant urban fantasy series. Gosh I love this guy! If he was real he would be the kind of guy that made you feel instantly safe. He's not just a detective and a wielder of magic but a Protector.

Very good!
I liked the first one better, but probably partly because Leslie had a reduced role in this one, and I really like her. I love the interactions between Peter and Nightingale as well as Peter and his parents. The magic is fun as is the fact the book is very British, which for this American is a joy to read.

This one took me a while to get through, but it was worth the read.
