So...I don't usually write reviews on here b/c it seems everyone has written anything I would want to say. But, after 8 books, I feel the need to express a few things.

First of all...Nick has got to go. This toolbag has appeared, disappeared, and reappeared one too many times for me. And, he called her a whore in this last one and she didn't even care! Rachel needs to get over the no killing, I'm a good witch BS and finally kill this fool.

Second, Trent's hot little elf ass needs a reality check

I could sympathise with Rachel in this one. She was sick and tired of always running and fighting, of having people die around her and never having a normal life, a normal boyfriend, she even missed doing her job.

Pierce is trouble but ultimately he is too much like Rachel but at the same time I'm not sure if he would sacrifice himself for her, in the end I think it will end in betrayal. Crap-for-brains (Nick) deserved to be hunted, the scoundrel! He's a continuing threat, I hope something nasty

I think this qualifies as my favorite Hallows book so far. Rachel’s whining and “woe is me” attitude was beginning to get on my nerves. The ups and downs of Ivy, Rachel and Jenks throughout the ...more

Black Magic Sanction was chock full of mayhem, murder and madness Morgan style. Once again Kim Harrison has filled a "Rachel Morgan" book to the brim risking overflow. An absurd amount of stuff happens in this installment and keeping track of it all is sometimes daunting. However, I continue to read along and trying to figure out, along with Rachel, "What's wrong with me?!"

Black Magic Sanction had me laughing (Rachel high - LOL), questioning (Trent / Nick), tearing (Jenks) and fuming (the wh

Now this part of the series was so much better than the last book was.
There were some really sad moments in this installment that has me screaming NOOOOOO! Harrison must have some method to the madness. I just can't see what it is yet.
I really like Bis' character. You don't read anything about gargoyles very often, so it was a pleasure to get to know him a little bit more.
