This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. Hmmm... I have to say the prospect of reading another book that focused on the main couple, Elena and Raphael, did not sit well. But this one had more depth to it, probably because it led to a huuuuge battle.

Finding out how the angels used Elena's public appearances to keep up pretenses and distracted humans with a game of Angel Catch amused me to no end. If angels have been ruling humans for centuries, they would have some tricks up their sleeves.

I have the say the last few chapters of this book are what pushed it to a 5-star rating! I wasn't as taken in by the story in the beginning, but as it began to build momentum, I found myself sucked in! Ellie and Raphael were super hot in this book....and I enjoyed the battle immensely! I like how Raphael was able to let go of some of those cave man tendencies so Ellie could fight at his side...literally. Looking forward to seeing what happens in the aftermath and getting to know Ash and Janvier ...more

This was a good read - especially all the action at the end - I seriously was caught up in it and delayed going to work for about 45 min to finish! I admit though - Elena and Raphael are not the main reason I read this series - it's all of the richly developed secondary characters. The Seven, The hunters at the Guild - really enjoy them all. And thanks for the Janvier/Ashwini teases! But please deliver - they need their own story! Looking forward to what Ms. Singh has in her bag of tricks next! ...more

I'm impressed. She can't write a bad romance. Good triumphs over evil and love conquers all but of course it's not over yet. I love the continuing relationship between Raphael and Elena. It makes wish for immortality just so I can see it in a hundred years. ...more
