I listen to this as an audio and it was narrated fantastically. I got so drawn into the story I found I was listening without doing anything. The story is getting so good. The characters are very fleshed out. You can practically see them. I just love Jenks.

This book was better than the first. It started out slow just like the first but it did pick up towards the middle. I really like the world Kim Harrison created and the characters. The mysteries of who sent the demon after both Rachel and Trent in book one and what Trent is were both solved. One of the negatives about this book is that it has quite a bit of unnecessary details. Overall I did enjoy it and look forward it the next one.

I'm really digging this series. It's fun and fast paced. Rachel is an endearing heronie. I enjoy the worldbuilding and Rachel's relationships with Ivy, Nick, Trent, etc. are complex which makes the story seem even more real.

I'm glad the series is complete so I don't have to wait a year for my next visit to the Hollows! ...more

I just love Jenks. This has plenty of twists,, not as much humor or continuos death threats to Rachel, but very good. Keeps you interested. Great twists at the end, concerning Trent and concerning Det. Glenn.
