It took me a while to start Magic Rises, but that was about me and not the book. The book starts with one of the Pack children going loup - and Curran pausing the termination of children due to loupism because there is a chance he can get more of the cure, the Panacea, from Europe.

There is an excellent plot, and I am not going into it, much.

There is also a lot of character development and a lot of realistic issues with Kate and Curran come up. And they figure it out. Takes them time, but they do it. It leaves their relationship stronger and they both know where the other stands. Weird how they pulled it off - but they did.

We get to know a bit more about most of the major characters from the Pack, as a whole bunch of them were part of the group that crossed the Atlantic. It was interesting to see how everything played out. It was even more interesting to see how everyone reacted to certain situations. (view spoiler)

There was a lot that happened in this book. It makes me want the next book even more and a lot of what I learned makes me think that Kate meeting Roland would not be the end. It would be something - but not the end. ...more
