If you haven't read this series and come across these books out of order. You probably could still read them although the first three books are kinda story builders. However The amount of recapping is ridiculous for people who have read the series up till now. So if you haven't read any merry books the recapping might work in your favor.

A little redemption here, story picked back up a little. I am enjoying the underlying power of the realm, with what the faerie realm use to be like. I like when some of that history is thrown in there.
Not my favorite in the series, seemed like a filler book as it was very, very short. I don't really like the character of Mistral, but I was happy with the inclusion of Sholto. He is an interesting and complicated character. The battle scene at the end was great but I thought the developments afterwards needed a little more explanation.
