Okay, it took me a few days to organize my thoughts but here goes.

First I want to say, "Kudos, Hamilton, for going back to action and plot." I truly have missed them in your previous novels.

With Hit List, the Anita Blake that enthralled me and kept me turning page after page when I should've been resting, came back. The focus wasn't on her personal life and her "honeys" as it was on her skills and efficiency as a Federal Marshall working on preternatural cases.

Ya know, this was a return to form for Laurell. It was a good read, fast paced, worth the money. I am a little tired of the tigers, I am a little tired of Olaf and his shenannigans, but overall, this was a good addition to the series. Not Obsidian Butterfly good, but Lunatic Cafe good.

I have not liked this series in a very long time but this book wasn't half bad. It was more action and mystery and the succubus thing was not drawn out and over killed as it has been in the past. I might try the next one...maybe... ...more
