In my opinion this was probably when the Anita Blake series jumped the shark; metaphysically anyways. While some smutty action is alright in a series, it becomes to much for me when there is more than 5 encounters in a single book. Honestly there just isn't enough buildup in between encounters when Hamilton makes the Ardure an actual requirement for Anita.
