What Members Thought
A unique book showcasing multicultural London as the main character featuring much of her history, geography, associated Britishisms, pop. culture references and slang. I'm surprised non-Brits (or even non-Londoners) didn't give this a lower rating for all that they didn't understand because I'm a Brit and there were a couple I didn't get. A basic map and a glossary would've been helpful, I think.

Exploding Apple★★★★½ (This is a review of the audiobook.) Excellent narration by Kobna Holdbrook-Smith. His delivery definitely kicked this book up a notch. He pacing is perfect, as are his various accents: modern working class London, 18th century London gentleman, German, Indian, African, Caribbean, Middle Eastern, or Japanese. Stupendous! Okay, it has been a while. Don't remember much but that Peter's a weirdo and a cop, who comes across Nightingale while trying to solve a murder.
Thoughts on this Series
A blend of police procedural with magic, wit, and humor. I love Peter because he's slowly and realistically getting better at what he does and yet he doesn't think it makes him the shit.
