12/1/2019: Finally going to finish this duology!

As much as I love Jacqueline Carey the only way for me to fairly to rate this book is to pretend for a minute that it was penned by an other author.
I loved the Kushiel's Series, and I loved the world of Terre d'Ange, and I could happily live there, and would die happy if there were 20 more books written about that world.
This book however, is just completely different . If Carey set out to prove her diversity as a writer, ...more

4.5 stars. Read this while waiting for the next agent of hel book. Didn't expect to love it as much as I did. Great story.
