Desperado
My Thoughts:

Alot of my friends (you know who you are) have been urging me to try this series for months. I read the first book, Storm Front back in August & I wasn't impressed. But I'm glad I decided to stick with it because Fool Moon kicked major ass. Friends, I am eternally grateful for the relentless peer-pressure & threats of bodily harm *cough cough* Catherine *cough cough* if I didn't give this series a go. Muah!

In the previous book, Harry Dresden had to battle a beyond nutso Warlock bent

Hells bells, if this keeps up, I don't know how Harry survives to what, 11 books, 12? For that matter, I don't know if I can survive it. It's non-stop action and crazy dangerous situations.

Harry is a bit chauvinistic, jumps in before thinking - therefore managing to get on everyone's hit list, and has a bit of a hero complex. Yet I still like him, go figure. Anyone who can have snarky banter with his subconscious works for me. Plus, I can see Harry struggling to grow and learn to trust others a

More of the same and yet completely opposite to the first part of the series... I still haven't made up my mind yet.

Wizard for hire Harry Dresden has more enemies than he can count on one hand, and they all want him dead. When there are serial killings that seem like the work of a bloodthirsty werewolf, he makes a few more. Will Harry be able to keep his head above water, and maybe restore his police friend Murphy's trust in him?

I like Harry's voice, and Mr Butcher is a good writer, yet still th

This book was awesome! Even better than the first! The detail of the action scenes pull you in. It was very easy to create the imagery of the story in my mind while I read. The wit of Dresden is better dealt with in this one than it was in the first. I cannot wait to read further into this series!!

I re-read this as an audiobook. It was so well done. James Marsters does the narration. He really brings Harry Dresden to life.

This is a good book. Harry is a lot like Ned - full of honor and integrity. I enjoyed this adventure where there is a pattern of people dying everytime the full moon comes around. Murphy is on the case. Susan wants to print the story. Marconi is at the center of it all. I love the skull guy, and Mister. There are always some good lines, "as long as I don't get put with a 400 lb con named, Hump" then while looking at Tara, "Tell me I didn't get lucky..." I don't normally care for werewolf stories ...more

OK. I am hooked. Harry is back in all his glory. After losing Murphy's trust in book one, Harry is trudging along until she reappears and needs his help. This time it seems that werewolves are behind a string of murders. Harry becomes way to involved with the investigation and ends up majorly injured. I really enjoyed the definition of different types of werewolves and how they react/interact in this story. So, Susan move over. I want Harry! 4 stars ...more

A lot of stuff going on in this book hard to keep it all straight sometimes. Plus between this book and the first my daughter and I watched Dresden File the first season so how I originally imagined the characters was way differnet and hard to remember by the time I got into the second book

This is the 2nd Book in the Dresden Files series and I am not real sure how I feel about it. Honestly, these books have been fillers, books to read while waiting for my favorite authors new releases. Now don't get me wrong there's good world building, some cool evil villains, a gambit of all kinds of supes. there's even a little romance but for some reason I just don't crave this series like I do others. However, Fool Moon is better than Storm Front and has a ton of werewolves, which is pretty c ...more

Great book, lots of mystery and angst ridden action.
Poor Harry got beaten within an inch of his life... forget an inch, half an inch!
I wanted to slap Murphy for not believing him but then I understood her too.
I love the bad guys, they were scary, creepy and great.
Can't help but wonder what'll happen in the next book.
