I really enjoyed this! After Iced, I was so skeptical but Burned reaffirmed why I enjoy KMM's books. I had no expectations, maybe that isn't true -- I had negative expectations. I thought this book would suck. I strongly disliked Iced, here is my review on GR to see how strongly I disliked it. I did not believe that KMM could salvage this series. Yes, there are some crazy plot devices that I am not a fan of and perhaps too many buried messages from KMM to her readers answering or responding to n ...more

Alright it's been almost three months so I'm putting this one back on the shelf for now. Hopefully I will pick it back up at some point in the future as I'd like to continue with the series. I loooved this little piece from JZB's point of view, very interesting... but I would've liked it way more if it was a scene from another book, at least the 2nd or 3rd since this was still too early in the series, I don't think I even liked her then.
Still... pretty good treat.

3.5 stars. Slow to start. Didn’t get good till the end. Then of course she leaves it with a cliffhanger. The type that has you turning the page back and forward like surely your book is missing a chapter.
