I'm a very happy reader at the moment! 2 of the stories are not new and I do appreciate being warned about that in advance by Ms. Singh - but it's 2 stories I absolutely loved so it was no hardship to revisit Sara/Deacon and Janvier/Ashwini. A personal appeal - can we please get more Janvier/Ashwini??? PLEASE??? The 2 new additions were great reads as well. This one's an anthology, featuring four shorts:
Angel's Pawn
Hunter Ashwini and vampire Janvier are caught in a chase when Ashwini is hired by the notoriously nasty angel Nazarach (this guy, yikes!) Janvier joins her, not wanting her to go alone, and sparks fly as they hunt for the truth.

I love Nalini's angel's because they are so deliciously dark unlike most, she has such a way with her story telling that you can almost imagine yourself in her worlds.
I really enjoyed this anthology, Angel's Pawn I read prior to the books and although I enjoyed it I found it very different from the series as a whole.
I loved the little bit of insight into Deacon & Sara's relationship and her decision to become Director of the Guild.
