Angel's Wolf : 4.75 Stars.

From 4 stories in this book, I loved Angel's Wolf the most. It was beautiful and full of intense emotions. Noel and Nimra are wonderful together.

Angels' Judgement : 4.5 Stars.

Sexy. Sizzling. Action-packed.
This was a story of Sara, a Guild Hunter, and Deacon, the slayer. For the readers who have been curious about how these two met and how Sara has become the America Guild Director, you will find the answers here.

Angels’ Pawn- 5 stars

I’ve read plenty of short stories and now after reading Singh’s novella, Angels’ Pawn has become of my favourites.

This time we get a closer look at Ashwini, Elena’s Guild Hunter colleague. Ash possesses similar characteristics as Elena – She’s smart, tough, and can kick some serious ass. But she also has her own Guild Hunter “talent”, or a curse, in her opinion. She can hear the thoughts and emotions of others through a single touch. A talent that is unique, but debilitat

I really enjoyed these four short stories that provided a little history into some great characters and showed time periods outside of our main storyline.

I loved all the short stories, but the one I couldn't wait to read was "Angel's Dance" and it was awesome!!! Thank you Nalini Singh for another great story.

Loved this book full of novellas in the Guild Hunter world. Each story was a treat. Fans will love getting the fist glimpses into characters who have come to mean a lot and those who haven’t started the series get a taste of the world; before it became something altogether different.

This is the first time I completely adored an anthology as much as I usually do a book. So far anthologies had been a mere entertainment for me, never a read to recommend. I guess there's always a first time for everything. I SERIOUSLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK to all NS fans. This is a must read for those who have read the Guild Hunter's series. In this book you will find 4 short stories, 4 compelling , fascinating and remarkable reads.

I loved the anthology, but since I read 3 of the 4 stories a while ago, I'll only be reviewing Angels' Dance.

I am a huge fan of Nalini Singh and her writing-in any shape or form. I was really looking forward to reading Jessamy and Galen's story, and though at first I was underwhelmed, I ended up liking it a lot.

I loved Jessamy and Galen’s story, Angels’ Dance! It’s the clear winner here and a definite treat for Guild Hunter fans that makes the Angels' Flight anthology worthwhile.

This anthology features a collection of short stories in the Guild Hunter world. Three have been previously published. The last is new.

Angels' Pawn - Throughout the first three Guild Hunter novels, we get little teasers about the hunter Ashwini and her constant foil, the sexy Cajun vampire Janvier. But in this short story, we get to see the two of them in action. Though Ash is usually hunting Janvier, here they are working together to bring in a vampire at the center of a power struggle. Gosh I love Nalinis writing! This paranormal world she has created is just art.

Four little novellas. Each one a brilliant little piece of great writing. Not every novella had the deepest storyline, but I found it unnecessary since it was an introduction to how these characters become a part of the Guild Hunter universe.

Will I recommend: It’s safe to say the Guild Hunter series is one of my favourite paranormal “worlds”. So yes, I will absolutely recommend.

Original Review

Angel's Flight is an anthology containing four novellas set in the Guild Hunter world, each features a different couple and is set at a different point in the series timeline. Angels' Dance, Angels' Judgment and Angels' Pawn are all set before the first book in the series (Angel's Blood) while Angel's Wolf is set between Archangel's Consort and Archangel's Blade. Although I think you could probably get away with reading these stories bef

Every story is a gem, especially Angels Dance -featuring Jessamy --"angel-cougar", historian and scholar extraordinaire--and Galen--"angel-cub", weapons master and ultimate hero hottie--which concludes the anthology. My second favorite is Angels Judgement which introduces' Elena's bestie, Sara, and the man of her dreams --and later bae and baby daddy--Deacon, aka The Slayer. Angels Wolf was my least fav, no doubt because of the pairing (Noel and ruling angel, Nimra). As always

God I love these stories, they make me happy. Nalini Singh is the undisputed Queen of Paranormal Romance. I signed up for her newsletter and read back issues long into the night. Her worlds are my finest dreams.

*Reread: Still five stars. I’ll probably read it every year.
April 17, 2019: Reread of Angel’s Dance. I first read this when it came out years ago but barely remember it. I don’t like Guild Hunter as much as Psy Changeling, but it’s Nalini Singh and she always writes a terrific romance. I love that the heroine was 2600 years old and the hero was less than 300! I also have a soft spot for weaponmaster/scholar pairings - it reminds me of Alberich/Myste from Heralds of Valdemar.

Angel’s Wolf - Raphael sent Noel to Nimra to flush out a person who is trying to kill her. If you've read Archangel's Kiss, you know how Noel got his injuries. Nimra is fascinating, but sort of weak until you find out her real talent.

Angels’ Judgment is Sara and Daecon's story. Someone is killing vampires and it seems it is one of the hunters. I had read this one before I read anything else from this series. It is a good introduction to the series and a great story on its own.

It was nice getting to see a glimpse of the Guild Hunter world from the sidelines. There were enough details about Raphael and Elena to perk my interest in reading their stories again, but I also got a deeper look at a few characters I have wondered about for a while. Namely, Jessamy/Galen and Ashwini/Janvier. Though I didn't love every story in this collection, I never out and out disliked any of them. And it whet my appetite for more from this series.

This short story is a prequel to the Guild Hunter Series. This is not my first book of the series that I have read. It is actually the third. I have read Angel’s Blood and Angel’s Kiss and enjoyed them very much. Against all my beliefs to read in order, I, for some reason failed to start with this one. *shrugs*

I won't spoil anything, but just briefly overview each of the four novellas. Angels’ Pawn feels like a pretty truncated story, it feels like the first third of the whole novel of these two characters, so it's the one I li

I’m a huge fan of Nalini Singh’s Guild Hunter series, but I hadn’t read any short stories that went along with the series, so this entire book was a new read for me – and I enjoyed it quite a bit. There was one stand out story, but here’s a small recap on all four:

Angel’s Pawn

Angels Flight is an anthology that is considered to be part of Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter series. This collection of stories takes place in an alternate world where angels, vampires, and humans live alongside one another with angels being the rulers. Each novella takes place at a different time within the series, but they can all be read as stand-alones. Nalini Singh is an expert at figuring out what stories work for shorter page lengths and that is evident in this anth

Ashwini and Janvier's story. The plot was fairly enjoyable - Ashwini has to retrieve a vampire that's been kidnapped, she asks for Janvier's help, naturally they banter, flirt and fight bad guys. Ashwini was a decent character but her tragic past kind of annoyed me — it seems like every one of Singh's heroes and heroines have been through some sort of ridiculously traumatic event. It just gives the impression that the only way Singh can add depth to her characters

My favorite in this collection of short stories is Angel's Dance, the story of Jessamy and Galen. When I first read about them in Archangel's Kiss, I knew there was a great love story there. There is. It's actually a far better love story than the one between Elena and Archangel Raphael. They're actually now my favorite couple in the Guild Hunter series. This is the story of Galen and Jessamy that started four hundred years ago when Galen first comes to the Refuge and is trying to be weapons master for Raphael. Jessamy is the teacher and historian there.
