I read this so long ago that I've forgotten almost everything!

Still my favorite book in the series - loved Dragos, Pia and their relationship. One thing that I noticed in this re-read is that everything moved so fast (which is an issue I've had with plot points in this series.) Given that most of the Wyr heroes are hundreds of years old, I think I would have wanted some time to pass in between books and not every mating happening in a few months (after everybody being alone for centuries.) I thi

Review originally posted on Bitten Books and given 4 stars.

Pia has succeeded in being the first to find and steal something from the dragon's horde. She doesn't like stealing, didn't even want to, in fact she left something of equal value behind and an apologetic note. She knows it won't matter though, the leader of all Wyrkind will hunt her down and tear her limb from limb in revenge. Stealing hadn't been her choice. Pia's scumbag ex-boyfriend was threatening to tell secrets she'd foolishly tol

I listened to the audio version of this book, rather then read it. I think if I had read it I would have liked it much better then I did sadly.

I went through phases when it came to this book, the start I enjoyed. Then after about a quarter of the book I wasn't feeling it. I stuck with it until I got about half way or so, I was enjoying the story. The characters were starting to grow on me but then I got turned off yet again. But I stuck with it. And I ended up liking the story.

Delightful!

Witty and colorful characters, explosive chemistry, complex and interesting world and engaging plot, this was a thoroughly satisfying read from beginning to end!

Next comes Tricks and Tiago's story and, judging by their scene in this one, it's going to be fun! Looking forward to it!

. Why did I take so long to read this?! I love dragon-shifters! And Pia Giovanni is very cool in her own right, except for her taste in men. I wish more books would be about Pia and Dragos! They are snarky and sassy and sizzling together, just like I love PNR. Thinking I'll be reading the next book soon!

I am bummed that Dragos is the only dragon-shifter, but looking forward to the gryphons & harpy.

Surprisingly good. Though not really that different from many paranormal romance out there.

So the world is a paranormal one, where human beings and other beings are thrown together and each already know each other's identity. There is an elder race that has been around since the beginning of the earth. (view spoiler) The New York desmen

Not bad for PNR and the first half was really engaging and refreshing in some of the heroine's opinions and reflections. The second half tended to drag and was familiar territory. The hero is an alpha male for reasons that are made plain in the story and the heroine does make some halfhearted protests at some of the more aggressive behavior which is a change in pace from frequent floormats or TSTL leading ladies.
I've decided to read the next one to see if the author can keep up interesting dyna

I put this book off once I saw that the hero was really possessive and controlling, as they are not my type. I kept reading reviews where people were raving about it though, so when it came up in a challenge I thought I would at least check it out.

I liked it a lot. Pia is great, I enjoyed her character, especially what she left when she stole the item :) Dragos is a lot more fun that I was expecting, and I would like to read more in this world.

I don't know if I have anything more to add that others have already said before.
This was a great read because it didn't feel like the normal romancy type story. The dialogue was great and felt real. All the characters were interesting enough that I want to read more about them.
I hope this series goes on for a while.
