What Members Thought
For me this felt like a 2 star book. I couldn't connect with the main characters and their lovestory, motivations and reactions didn't feel real. There is a lot of haphazard action but while entertaining, it made little sense and the resolutions were rushed or just fizzled out.
I liked the premise of the book and the steampunk elements, so these round it up to 3 stars. I might give the next book a try though because this world the author created is quite fascinating. ...more

I really enjoyed this book. The steampunk wasn't distracting and actually added to the world and plot. I liked the characters and I'd like to see some more adventures, even if Brook decides to follow Scarsdale or Lady Corsair (I wouldn't mind a book with Fox and Yasmeen) with Rhys and Mina taking more of a back seat. The characters weren't perfect, but they also weren't so proud they couldn't admit to their mistakes and try to make them right. They worked through their issues in a relatively bel
