I enjoyed this book, but it had the scattered air of an "in-between" book or that it was setting up for later books. There was the overall plot of, you guessed it, Kitty going to Washington and facing the Senate hearing. But there were several side plots casually thrown in that made me feel like it was going all over and distracted from the main plot. No spoilers, but an antagonist who I assumed would be a major figure later (and possible plot for other books), appeared and was tidily dealt with ...more

Kitty Goes to Washington is the 2nd in the Kitty Norville series, so some series spoilers may exist.

As you can guess, by the title, in this book Kitty is off to Washington, DC to testify at the Senate Committee Hearings to determine if the Center for Paranatural Biology should retain its gov't funding or not.
