I loved the relationship between Raphael and Elena in this book. I could really feel a connection, how much he cares for her, how much he means to her. And that's without saying how almost everytime they're together their chemistry is just explosive and they usually end up having sex!
They were both dealing with huge issues in this book. Raphael's mother, Caliane, is waking! Elena's half sister Evelyn discovers she's hunter born. I was very happy with how both issues ended up.

Good book but it's tiresome to keep reading about Elena’s murdered sisters again and again and again… drip drip drip… yes, we remember, we’ve read about it before.
We are finally! seeing how Raphael is becoming a more likable character instead of the arrogant ass he used to be. Illinum is, as always, a very nice touch to the story and all the secondary characters make it a better book.
The main mistery in this book wasn't hard at all to guess but I really liked the way Singh developed it. ...more
