I really really like this series.
That said.
This book is oddly probably my least favorite thus far. Not that that means it is bad, by any means. I just felt like... there was an awful lot of re-tread. Just briefly summing up a couple things I wish were handled a bit differently:
1. Elena being haunted by the past.

Raphael's once crazy mom is up once again while a terrifying rage takes over the vampires of NY. When Raphael shows the signs of the same anger, things get deadly!
Thoughts on the Series
A formulaic series with HEAs. It can get violent and dark though, but it can also get repetitive. I'd suggest spacing out the books--and there are a lot of them--for days when you need a certain happy ending.

I'll never get over Elena. Though I still don't feel she's a match for the "man-flesh" Raphael. Ï'm curious about Jason and Aodhan.. :-) be reading more of them I hope.
