Nothing better than another Kate book. They have moved and are trying to live a normal life where no one knows them, but of course Kate can't resist trouble.

What I enjoyed:
* Love seeing Kate and Curran again and getting to know Conlan
* Kate can't resist helping people in trouble which leads to interactions with The Order, The People, Keelan and some shapeshifters, and a god.
* Happy to see Kate is still riding Cuddles the donkey

What could have been better:

I opened this book because I had it (and I will continue to likely inta-buy anything Andrews related) but not with a particular sense of excitment. Because I felt the story is quite complete. Silly me.

Andrews drwas you into a well known comfortable world immediately and I was just so happy to go alone for the ride. I loved catching up with Kate, Curran and Conlan in Wilmington! I missed them so much and this was a great intro to their life there. I look forward to hopefully more of these tales.

I have so missed Kate and Curran! It was great catching up with this couple, with the added bonus of having more than Kate’s point of view. I wish there was more of Kate and Curran together, but I’m hoping this is the start of more great stories with these two! I also enjoyed getting to see Conlan in action…such a sneaky, sweet boy!
