This was an intriguing storyline, and I was very much drawn in the entire time. There are also some unique takes on paranormal beings in there, which is rare with the loads of paranormal books out there. I also enjoyed the relationship that builds in the story between the two main characters, it's very sweet and innocent.
A couple things that might detract from a reader's enjoyment:
1. White uses "awesome" very frequently

Gonna give this one a 2.5-3. I liked the beginning, but then it got slow and the ending. Well, I expected more "bang." However, I like how it wrapped well since the second isn't coming out right away. I dislike cliffhanger endings. Warning: She says "bleep" a lot. Every time I read that word, I substituted my own cuss word(s). And Tasey?! (Her taser goes by this name AND it's pink with rhinestones!)

I still can't even believe I made through it. I tried reading it like two times. Totally disappointed, this was like a poor man's whining Buffy clone only stupider. You know when they said don't judge a book by its cover! Believed it! NEVER AGAIN!
