2011 Re-read

One of my favorite books in this series. Rehv and Ehlena are such a sweet couple. I knew from the moment that Rehv was attracted to Marissa that he would end up with a female like that, not too rough and aggressive, but of a good family, with a back bone, but sweet and caring.

Rehv has always, and does now as well, put everyone else first. He basically gives up his chance at happiness to protect everyone around him and not cause the ones he loves pain. He takes care of the threats aga ...more

Holy Moly Hell on earth! You know, I 100% expected to like this book somewhat. I feel like one of those weird readers who like other readers non-favorite books and dislike the favorite books among many. I was really just highly disappointed with this book. It may have just been me, it most likely was too, but this book felt unreadable to me.

I enjoyed Rehv and Ehlena's story. I enjoyed the other story continuations of the multiple other members of the BDB. John and Xhex and Wrath and Beth factor heavily in this book. Like all the other BDB books before this, there is plenty of Brand Name dropping, slang, and the super fun spelling of names. ...more

This was an excellent addition to the BDB series. The story is set around a character that is not part of the brotherhood, but to me he is an honorary member. Ending left a great set-up for the next book.
