Another amazing book in the series. I was already a big fan of Rehv, so had high hopes for his book, and Ward didn't disappoint. She created a wonderful mate for him in Ehlena and finally gave us some insight into the world of the symphaths. Much like LeN though, there was a lot else going on. Lover Avenged was a little hard for me to get into initially, but once I did, I couldn't stop. The audiobook was, as always, awesome! I love listening to this series. The reader, Jim Frangione, is fantastic. Initially I was going to rate it 4★ b/c of the slow start (IMHO), but I just can't bring myself to do it. In the end, I was left wanting more.

This book, above the others, had me laughing out loud in parts (see comments made throughout reading/listening). I love Ward's writing style, even ...more

Loved reading Rehvenge's story. Rehvenge has a history of being known as a callous drug lord and pimp. The choices he has made and life he lives is explained in this story. I thought he came of as a sensitive and super sweet guy when interacting with Ehlena and his immediate family. This is a story of a man who will sacrifice everything for those he loves. I was worried when I picked this up - seeing it in hardcover and seeing how hefty a hard cover it was, I thought it might be the end of the series. I was so happy with this book. I got my daily dose of romance and the action was much better then in some of the previous books. I have just felt like some of the "lesser" scenes were extraneous in some of the prior Brotherhood outings and I sometimes barely skimmed them, yet didn't miss anything in the grand scheme of the story.
