I went into the fourth Black Dagger Brotherhood novel Lover Revealed knowing that it would be damn hard to follow up Zsadist and Bella’s story from the third novel with something better. That’s true. With Lover Revealed I was more impressed by Butch’s character development and the integration of The Omega than by the romance in this one.

After a 3 book prologue I was expecting a little bit more on the romance front. Instead of aching for Butch & Marissa as I did for Bella & Zsadist, I found myself wanting to Gibbs slap the pair of them multiple times. Between the poorly articulated feelings/intentions and the quick leap to conclusions, I'm surprised it didn't take another 3 books for these two to become a couple. Definitely more annoying than romantic.

I really didnt enjoy this one. I found it very boring. Maybe it was because it was about Butch and I have never found myself caring much about him. Maybe it was because Marissa just came off as a stupid idiot. Also, there were so many points in the book where the conversation just sounded lame, true? It didn't flow well. And the lesser scenes, oh how I hated them. I was so happy when this book was finally over. ...more

I have to admit, I wasn't really looking forward to Butch's story. For some reason, I just wasn't feeling him and he wasn't one of my favs of the BDB. But this book is well worth the read.
