I'm giving this five stars, but it's a qualified 5 stars--Shadowfever better live up to the promises made by this book, and anything less than a HEA for Mac and JZB will be a HUGE disappointment and completely negate the awesome of this book. We finally see them moving beyond snarky comments and mysterious questions. We get to see a more vulnerable JZB and a peek into his (deeply disturbed) mind. Once again Moning has me in a love-hate relationship with her story. I like the new Mac, the kick-ass Mac. Yet I can't stand any of the males she writes. As I type this I am on about page 60 or so of the last, 5th, book and taking a stress break! The last book is killing me! Go read it! ...more

Although still an awesome continuation of the series, I find more and more questions with no answers. How the author will tie all of this together will be amazing for sure.
