this book was pretty good i have to admit but i kinda thought it would have more of a plot. Basically it's just about Aislinn making a choice. I admire the creativity in the book though, or maybe it isn't so original but i don't know it. For a faery book it's pretty good and for me, that's saying something cos for some reason, I really don't like faeries...

Some very interesting ideas here about the fae, but they didn't translate well to print. Very poor writing. Bad atmospheric effects, limp characterization, and above all some of the worst dialogue I have ever read. After I read this I went on to read the other one by this author our roommate had and could lend me:Radiant Shadows. Wicked Lovely was, without a doubt, one of the most unique YA books I have read. First of all, there's the universe. I was a bit nervous about the idea of faeries and was pleasantly surprised. Marr does not gloss over any of the horrors commited by faeries in traditional texts, and even encourages them by beginning each chapter with a quote about faery exploits. It was all appropriately horrific and enchanting.
